Description

Candidates must have prior experience with: sustainability assessments, LEED, planning and program development, energy and daylight modeling and other areas related to the aspects of sustainable design.

EXPERTISE/EDUCATION:
* Bachelor's Degree in Sustainability, Engineering, Architecture or related field.
* 10+ years of industry experience.
* HERS Rater certified.
* Energy Modeling is required (Trane Trace, E-Quest).
* Building construction design.
* LEED Accredited Professional with specialty. Experience with MEP related LEED credits is preferred.

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
* Business Development - Present to new and existing clients.
* Lead the development of DBR’s sustainability strategy and engage with key personnel to ensure its successful execution.
* Provide LEED documentation management and support to project teams on green building projects and ensure sustainability is adequately integrated into project delivery.
* Participate in management meetings and other in-house functions.
* Provide sustainability and sustainable design consulting services.
* Complete energy modeling and analysis services for LEED compliance and life cycle costs analyses.
* Perform calculations and analysis on plan and energy usage.
* Work with different market sectors, and regional offices on sustainable solutions for their projects.
* Research Energy Efficiency Legislation and Energy Rebate Programs offered by utility companies.
* Coordinate sustainability marketing materials creation and award applications.
* Create and update the Sustainability Plan Database for projects.

DESIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
* Knowledgeable of architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing general requirements for discussions with Owners, Contractors, Architects, and Code Authorities
* Strong interest in building systems, project management and consultant coordination.
* Advanced knowledge of the primary aspects of sustainable design
* Excellent people skills and the ability to work with and coordinate among all disciplines
* Able to work unsupervised as well as in a multi-disciplinary team environment
* Strong writing skills, organizational skills and technical presentation ability.
